It's time for us to reveal the latest recipient of our #gameoftheday award. What's that, you're probably not saying out loud. Well, it's part of our initiative to make sure you're only ever playing the finest games that the mobile world has to offer. We hate playing bad games, we imagine you do too, so let's just stop.Today's pick is the hands-off, shape-shifting puzzler Scalak. Each and every one of them is brilliant, because that's literally the objective of what we're trying to do here. We're not going to give a bad game this accolade, you can trust us on that.ScalakScalak is a sliding block puzzler. Except sometimes it isn't. And then it is again. It's the sort of game that's hard to pin down - basically you're trying to make a shape from the puzzle pieces the game gives you. No move limits, no ticking clock - it's you, logic, and spatial awareness trying to sort everything out.Simple controls mean pretty much anyone can pick this one up, and there are plenty of challenges on offer too - you're not going to rush through Scalak in a single sitting. While the basic mechanics don't change, there are new kinds of puzzles to try and fathom your way through, and while the game is relaxing, you're never quite sure what it's going to throw in your general direction next.....

There's no shortage of Marvel games available on mobile devices at the moment. You've got Marvel Contest of Champions, Marvel Future Fight and Marvel Strike Force to name a few. But that hasn't deterred Kabam and Netmarble teaming up to bring us another superhero game. Marvel Realm of Champions will be heading to iOS and Android in 2020.Announced yesterday at New York Comic-Con, Realm of Champions will be a real-time RPG that's set on Battleworld a forbidden planet that sits behind the Space-Time Barrier. Long-time comic books fans will be familiar with the patchwork planet that first appeared in the Secret Wars run of comics in 1984.Here you will align yourself with one of the various Houses that have been established with well-known Marvel heroes. These include the House of Stark (Iron-Man), Spider-Guild (Spider-Man), Patriot Garrison (Captain America) and Pyramid X (X-Men). Once you've chosen your house you'll team up with other allies or fight foes to gather resources....

Renegade Kid has announced Mutant Mudds Super Challenge for 3DS and Wii U in the latest issue of Nintendo Force.It's a standalone game with 40 levels that Renegade Kid founder Jools Watsham says are designed for "super players who mastered the original game."Watsham is obviously referring to the Bronze Award-winning Mutant Mudds there. Super Challenge looks like it will be more of the same albeit with tighter, more testing level structures.Not much else is known about the game at this moment in time. However, it has been confirmed for a launch in 2015....
